A special feature in the September edition highlights the first editions of the Round Tower magazine.
The magazine has been posted to more than 500 members – either by mail or increasingly on-line.
With rising postage costs, the Society is keen to encourage members to subscribe to the electronic edition. The e-edition was sent on Thursday, September 7 – if you’ve not received it, please let the editor know.
The Round Tower was first published in September, 1973 – and coincides with the Society’s start of the official membership year.
The latest edition, 32 pages, in full colour, includes updates on the re-building at Beachamwell Church, destroyed by fire on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, and also the appointment of a new committee member, Dr Helen Lunnon.
There are also features on Tasburgh Church, which has recently completed repair to two windows, and on Wortham Church, which faces a major financial challenge to re-roof the nave.
Members, who pay a minimum subscription of £20pa, receive the quarterly magazine. If any member would like to receive the e-edition or would like a trial run, please let the editor know – michaelbpollitt@michaelDetail of how to join the Society are also on the webite – See “Join” tab.
