A “live” annual meeting will be held in the Waveney Valley on Saturday, September 25, 2021.
Our venue will be in close proximity to a number of round tower churches. The idea is that this will give members attending an opportunity to make “do it yourself” church visits on the day.
There are at least seven churches within a comfortable radius of the village hall, including Ilketshall St Andrew and St Margaret, Holton and Spexhall.
Further details of the venue will be posted on the Society’s website along with the agenda and committee reports in the coming weeks. Also, further guidance will be published in the September edition of the Round Tower.
It is planned, subject to confirmation, to meet on Saturday, September 25 at 2pm at Ilketshall St Andrew village hall. It is unlikely that there will be refreshments and some form of “social distancing” and other measures may still be required.
Sadly, it has not been possible to arrange the Society’s tours for a second year but the committee wants “normal service” to resume in 2022.
In a note to members, Stuart Bowell, chairman, said: “The Society has continued to operate during the pandemic and support has been good, including generous donations continuing to give us a sound base for future work. News is coming in of repairs underway and enquiries about grants have been received.”
